It is hard being an athlete most your life and hitting a stage when your desires and knowledge don't match your physical ability.
All the laurels from the past, all the skills you had are greatly diminished. Trying to find that place that enjoys playing the sport you love with current abilities is very challenging mentally.
I will have to work at finding that space. Finding the courage to face the present reality without my pride hindering growth. I am realizing how much pride plays a role in my failures and disappointments.
Humility is the road to growth and success. Today I will forge a new path.
